Palette is an efficient workflow solution for many photographers around the world. It uses customized integrations with Adobe software such as Lightroom and Photoshop. These integrations work with Palette controllers to create an easy, customizable, hands-on editing experience like never before. The Lucie Technical Awards aim to honour the large and small companies, as well as the individuals who have advanced the photographic industry in a given year. All-inclusive, these awards intend to encompass such things as cameras, lenses, lighting, and accessories, to papers, printers, inks, and software and more. “The Lucies has an inclusive mission and by recognizing the hearts and minds behind the technical advancements and innovations in the photography world, we are putting our arms around an even wider community,” stated Hossein Farmani, founder of The Lucie Awards and now The Lucie Technical Awards.
About the Lucie Awards
The Lucie Awards, run by the non-profit Lucie Foundation, were created to honour master photographers, celebrate the greatest achievements in photography, and recognize significant creative professionals in the field.
The Lucie Awards honour the year’s best photographic achievements by presenting six Support Category awards. These categories range from Fashion Layout of the Year to Curator/Exhibition of the Year. These Support Awards acknowledge the individuals and institutions that play an important part in the crafting and promoting of images.
Palette is a modular controller that can be used with virtually any type of software. With tight integrations with Adobe products Lightroom and Photoshop, Palette is the perfect addition to a photographer’s workflow as it increases efficiency for repetitive tasks with lazer-like precision. Palette was founded in 2013 by product designer Calvin Chu and has since grown to 6 full-time employees. Palette participated in the HAX Accelerator, the University of Waterloo’s Velocity program, and the Creative Destruction Lab at the University of Toronto. Palette has been funded by Extreme Venture Partners, SOSventures, and through Palette’s successful Kickstarter campaign in 2014.
